Manchester, NH Wednesday, August 16, 2023 – Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Fire Department, a division of Pro-Tec Fire Services, announced today that it has been recognized for excellence in training management in 2022 by Lexipol, the nation’s leading provider of policy, training and wellness support for first responders and public servants.
The Lexipol Connect program tracks Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Fire Department’s performance on five metrics proven to measure success in training management. Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Fire Department achieved silver recognition for consistent and effective online training management, which includes training hours assigned and completions tracked, personnel engagement, and external training activities logged.
Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Fire Department established an in-house EMS training program in April 2021 after seeing a need to expand EMS training in the department. Previously, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Fire Department sent members to an outside training program to obtain the training necessary to recertify their EMS licenses. Spearheaded by Firefighter/Paramedic Nicholas Santy, the department partnered with Lexipol as their content platform. In addition to partnering with Lexipol, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Fire Department purchased EMS training equipment to practice hands on skills throughout the year. The result is more consistent EMS training completed by all members while on duty.
