During the month of Novmeber the Tulsa Airport Fire Department, along with the Tulsa Air National Guard Fire Department conducted a joint training session to famililiarize firefighters with the Tulsa based, L3 Harris, C-20 Gulfstream aircraft. During the training emphasis was placed upon the aircrafts exterior emergency features, interior floor plan, engine shutdown and egress procedures.
Utilizing the C-20 aircraft, L3 Harris Tulsa conducts airborne reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare System missions for the Department of Defense. These specialized aircraft require firefighters to be knowledgable and skilled in the specific procedures associated with such technical airframes.
